Staci D. Kies is a board- certified physician assistant who has been with the practice since 2006. She is a graduate of the Emory Physician Assistant Program and also has a master’s degree in behavioral studies. She has been a medical volunteer at Camp Kudzu, a camp for children with Type 1 Diabetes, since 2006.
She has been on the Camp Kudzu Medical Board since 2008, implementing camp clinical protocols, as well coordinating hands-on training of staff and camper education. She has extensive knowledge of insulin pumps and continuous glucose sensors and is a big advocate for diabetes self-management techniques.
In addition to her experience in intensive diabetes management, she manages all aspects of endocrine conditions. She is a lecturer and preceptor for the Physician Assistant Programs of Mercer University and Georgia Health Science University.
